The Readiness Standard

Physician review packet — an invitation to help set the safety standard for veterans in psychedelic care

What this is, and why you're reading it

Ibogaine and psychedelic therapies are being fast-tracked for veterans, largely unregulated, with almost no shared standard for how a patient is prepared, screened, and honestly informed before treatment. We built that missing standard — the science, the education, the protocol, and the certification structure. It is complete, honest, and evidence-graded. But it is not for patient use until a licensed physician owns and signs the clinical content. That's the invitation.

The honest objective

A universal readiness standard — cardiac and psychiatric screening, medication reconciliation, honest informed consent, and support — before any of these medicines. Real safety, not hype.

Conflict of interest, disclosed

Operation Whole Health develops nutritional prep protocols/products. The standards function is kept separate from the commercial one. This packet is educational; it supports — never replaces — a clinic's own care and consent.

Why it's different (the point)

We grade our own claims: where the evidence is a hypothesis, we say so. We led with the hard safety truths (cardiac/QT, CYP2D6, drug interactions), not the miracle stories.

What we are not

Not a treatment provider, not claiming any substance is safe or effective, not medical clearance. We build the honest preparation layer around whatever a clinic delivers.

The invitation

Read it, tear it apart, and — if you believe in it — put your name on it

We are asking you to become the named Clinical Author / Medical Director for this standard: to review the clinical content, tell us where we're wrong, and shape a standard the whole field could adopt. How we protect you and the work:

  • You have final say on all clinical content — nothing patient-facing ships without your sign-off.
  • Everything is version-controlled with a change log you could produce in discovery.
  • Operation Whole Health stands behind its own content — we do not push liability onto you or your clinic.
  • It is designed to support a clinic's own informed-consent process, co-branded — never to replace your clinical authority.
  • The standard is issued through an independent, nonprofit standards body — walled off from any product sales.
The packet

What's enclosed — in reading order

Seven documents, one honest voice. Start with the science; the rest builds on it.

#DocumentWhat it is / why read it
1White PaperBrain Terrain & Psychedelic Readiness. The evidence review — is our science honest and correctly graded? Start here.
2Protocol v1 (Universal)The operational framework: one Common Core (Screen → Prepare → Clear-to-Treat) + a safety annex per medicine. Is the clinical framework sound?
3Modality Education LibraryThe master list of all modalities + an honest patient brief for each (ibogaine, MDMA, ketamine, psilocybin, LSD, cannabis, kratom).
4Patient TrackThe complete 12-module patient course — including the informed-consent and risk modules that need your line-by-line sign-off.
5Caregiver TrackThe complete 8-module course for the family member — the under-served "second patient."
6Course ArchitectureThe blueprint tying the curriculum together (optional overview).
7Certification FrameworkWhere this is headed: how programs certify to the standard (PADI-style), the governance, and the role you'd help lead.
The one thing to look for: we don't need you to agree with every word — we need you to tell us where a patient could be misled or harmed, and where the science is overstated. That scrutiny is exactly what would make this real. If you're satisfied, your name and continuing oversight are what turn an honest draft into a genuine clinical standard.
Next step

A 30-minute conversation

If any of this resonates, I'd be honored by half an hour of your time to talk it through — what you'd change, what you'd need, and whether you'd consider leading it clinically. We're doing this for the same reason you do your work: so the men and women who served get healed safely, and no one is lost in the gap between the hype and the truth.
